Lol, who's late? I'm not late. Noooo.... D
Whoo, I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! I know I did! I dressed up like a pirate along with my roommate, and we went around calling her Captain Kirkland (cuz she's England and I'm America... yeah, we're dorks...). I even had the bakers put that on her birthday cake (her Bday is close to Halloween, so she celebrates it on Halloween) and I had them decorate it as Union Jack, the British flag. So we ate, watched a movie, played games... Our Russia scared a few trick-o-treaters dressed as wolf-man. Now I really can't wait till we get Italy and Germany together for next year.
Also, the Hetalia Day picnic was a lot of fun, even though most of the time my roommate and I spent was in the lobby of the Russell House because of the rain. o.o A lot of people showed up in cosplay and they were really cute and so funny. I think there were more Americas and Russias than anybody else.
It was mandatory to bring food so my friends and I baked sugar cookies and decorated them as the country flags. That was a whole lot of fun, I wouldn't mind doing that again.
I will also blame Hetalia for making me wanna watch a lot more war-oriented movies and reading up on country history. Even though it's not historically accurate and more of a love story, I have a huge urge to see Pearl Harbor again. ._. I thought my dad had it, and I was gonna borrow it, but apparently he doesn't...said he didn't really care for it. *shrugs* Oh well, so I settled on The Patriot and Saving Private Ryan. I also re-watched Anastasia for the millionth time because of Russia's influence (and the fact the two main settings are Russia and France fed the France/Russia fangirl in me).
I've also been listening to the German and Russian versions of some of my favorite songs. Tokio Hotel is my favorite band and they're originally German. Also, since my roommate and I are complete dorks, we associate some songs with some characters, too, like "London Bridges" by Fergie for England. Could you see him dancing on a table drunk off his arse singing that?
Oh, Hetalia.... the things you've done to my mind.
I'm hoping to have an Italy cosplay ready to go by the end of this year/beginning of next year for NashiCon and Animazement. I really wish I could have one done by the Hetalia meet-up, but that was a last minute notice and I'm not financially ready to take on another cosplay at the moment.
